The native game ports allow running titles originally made for consoles on computers, often featuring modern controls, resolution options, and other features. Among the community projects are Bloodborne, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, King Kong and several others. However, each project has its own requirements, limitations, and development stage.

In the channel's video Allves Games, you can follow these initiatives in sequence. Below, we have organized the information by game and gathered the links to explore each project in detail.

Allves Games channel video about ports and recompilations. The information below differentiates the cited versions and their limitations.

Bloodborne and Zelda: two paths to the PC

Bloodborne with the bbport project

The Bloodborne original PS4 already uses x86-64 instructions. Therefore, the bbport and its adaptations for Windows seek to run the game code on the PC, with replacements for the console's system functions. The graphical work goes through Vulkan. This is neither an official remaster by Sony nor a complete recreation of the game.

There are experimental builds featuring options for framerate, controls, and upscaling techniques. However, the result depends on the hardware and the version used. Additionally, the user needs to provide compatible files from their own legitimate copy of the game. See the details in Bloodborne on Windows with bbport, up to 90 FPS and FSR 4.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD

Meanwhile, the ZeldaWWHDRecomp uses recompilation to adapt the PowerPC code of the Wii U version of The Wind Waker HD. It offers features such as resolution scaling, button remapping, and support for different aspect ratios. There are also 60 FPS approaches, with differences between interpolation and experimental logic alterations.

The project provides an alternative for the GamePad screen in another window, but the experience depends on the system and the installed build. Check out the Wind Waker HD PC recompilation coverage before testing.

P.T., FIFA Street, and EarthBound

The horror of P.T. and the football of FIFA Street

The community has also developed a native port of P.T., the horror teaser originally released for PS4. The project has progressed from demonstrations to a public release, although the existence of a package does not mean an absence of issues on all machines. Check out the information about the P.T. port for Windows and Linux.

Already FIFA Street (2012) has received a recompilation of its Xbox 360 edition. Version 0.4.0 introduced installation and rendering improvements through ReXGlue. However, the original compatible files are still required. Read the FIFA Street 0.4.0 news on PC to check the requirements.

EarthBound with widescreen

The Phase Distorter adapts EarthBound / Mother 2 for computers, combining components rewritten in C++ with a compatibility layer. The proposal includes widescreen and presentation improvements that seek to preserve the pace of the original RPG. However, the stage and features depend on the project version.

King Kong, SoulCalibur II and The Simpsons Game

King Kong Recompiled

The 2005's King Kong had already received an official Windows edition. The project King Kong Recompiled goes another way: adapt the Xbox 360 version and offer controls, rendering, and resolutions better suited to modern computers.

The developer features resolution options up to 8K and high framerate caps. However, they also warn that certain animations may break above 30 FPS. Therefore, configuration numbers do not equal stable performance. Learn more about King Kong Recompiled and its limitations.

SoulCalibur II and The Simpsons Game

The RingOut works with the GameCube version of SoulCalibur II. Project updates address CPU optimizations and graphical alternatives. The gains measured by the developer on a specific machine should not be treated as a guaranteed result for all computers. Check out the RingOut 1.6.6 update.

In turn, the The Simpsons Game Recompiled adapts the Xbox 360 edition to modern systems. It features a launcher and graphical options, while some screens and sequences remain limited by the original behavior. Development continued after the first versions shown in the video. See the update with photo mode and improvements on the Steam Deck.

Lost Odyssey, GTA on the 3DS and WWF WrestleMania

The Lost Odyssey Recomp explores features such as HDR, graphic filters and execution on new platforms. Since the initial builds mentioned in the video, the project has advanced. Therefore, the correct reference for new users is the latest coverage of Lost Odyssey Recomp, instead of assuming an old version is still current.

As a non-PC exception, the PROJECT REGTA enhances GTA III, Vice City, and Liberty City Stories on the New Nintendo 3DS. The PlayStation 2-inspired visual mode tweaks colors, fog, and other effects while respecting the handheld's limits. Learn more about the PS2 Graphics mode for GTA on the New 3DS.

Finally, the project from WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game seeks to preserve the arcade machine experience, including adaptations and community modifications for current systems. It is not equivalent to the old official MS-DOS version; depending on the platform, it may require compilation and original game data. Check out the WWF WrestleMania four-player port.

Where to find downloads and requirements

There is not a single download for all these ports. Each article linked above gathers information about the corresponding project and, when there is a verifiable public package, indicates the source and necessary requirements. Many projects depend on files legally obtained from your own copy of the game. Source code and an open repository, by themselves, do not mean there is a ready-to-use installer.

In short, the native game ports are opening up new possibilities for classic titles. However, static recompilation, rewritten code, and compatibility layers are different technologies. Before testing, check the documentation and development stage of the chosen project.
