The port Forbidden Memories Android received its first public APK on October 11, 2026. Version 0.3.0 of Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories Recompiled also debuted a ready-to-use application for Macs with Apple Silicon. Previously, the macOS version covered by Allves Games depended on manual compilation.

Furthermore, the launch was documented by the developer Unchiga on official 0.3.0 release. In addition to the new platforms, the update adds card effects and 3D monster combat. Therefore, this is a community port, not an official Konami re-release.

Forbidden Memories Android debuts with APK

On Android, the package is intended for ARM64 devices. According to the changelog, the mobile version includes touch menus, mod and control panels, ZIP mod importing, and auto-rotation. Additionally, the user can request the HD package directly from the game's own panel.

On the other hand, the file for macOS includes the application YFM Re-Decomp.app for Apple Silicon. However, it has not been notarized by Apple; therefore, the first access may require authorization in System Settings, under the Privacy and Security section.

In both cases, the platforms require a legitimate US PlayStation disc image (SLUS-01411), in BIN format. Therefore, the project's packages do not distribute the commercial game.

3D card and monster effects

In this context, version 0.3.0 expands modding capabilities. Monsters can receive effects when summoned, flipped, destroyed, or used in attacks. In addition, spells and traps can execute mod-defined effects, with support from the opponent's artificial intelligence.

For example, the 3D Monsters mode gained anime-style summons, visible monsters on the field, and arena attacks. The FM Editor also received undo, crash recovery, and automatic backups upon saving. Thus, the update caters to both players and mod creators.

Similarly, the project states that standard saves and settings from previous versions can be kept. However, old save states are not compatible with version 0.3.0. Therefore, back up before updating.

How to download Forbidden Memories 0.3.0

  1. Prepare a clean, legal backup copy of the USA SLUS-01411 edition of the game in BIN format.
  2. Download the package corresponding to your platform. The Windows and Linux paths below were verified for release 0.3.0; for Android and Mac, check the APK and ZIP files directly on the official release page.
  1. On Windows, extract the ZIP and run memories-pc.exe. On Linux, extract the TAR.GZ and run ./memories-pc. On Android, install the ARM64 APK; on Mac, open the app from the ZIP and check the system security guidelines.
  2. On first launch, point to your game's BIN image. If desired, add the HD texture pack and enable mods in the appropriate menu.
  3. Before replacing an old version, back up your saves and do not try to reuse incompatible save states.

Even so, official metadata confirms Android and macOS files are available for download, but they do not replace installation tests on physical devices. Finally, other recompilation projects for Apple Silicon, such as the experimental 2Xtreme port, also require attention to compatibility and original game data.
