Vita3K+ 1.2 was released on September 30, 2026, featuring a new round of fixes for PlayStation Vita emulation on Android and Windows. The update tackles specific issues in 24 games and also tweaks parts of the graphics pipeline for Mali and Adreno GPUs. Highlights include fixes for Soul Sacrifice Delta, Ragnarok Odyssey ACE, Ridge Racer, Mortal Kombat, Dragon Quest Heroes II, Ys VIII, FIFA 15, and Jet Set Radio.
The project should not be confused with a new official release of Vita3K. Vita3K+ is a fork of Vita3K created to add compatibility and rendering fixes that are not necessarily part of the main project yet. Therefore, results obtained on the Plus version cannot be automatically attributed to traditional Vita3K.
According to the developer, version 1.2 also pays more attention to Mali GPUs. Even so, the project continues to warn that limitations exist on this hardware and recommends Snapdragon devices with Adreno GPUs and Turnip drivers to achieve the best possible compatibility on Android.
Vita3K+ 1.2 fixes issues in 24 games
The changelog for version 1.2 is extensive. However, the focus is not on a generic FPS boost. Instead, the developer has fixed concrete rendering, audio, loading, saving, and boot issues in specific games.
Soul Sacrifice Delta, for example, received fixes for a regression that caused outlines to disappear and for floor texture issues. In addition, the project fixed a vertex issue that could stretch parts of the image on Mali GPUs. The developer himself cites the butterfly on the title screen of Soul Sacrifice Delta as an example of this flaw.

Already Madden 13 started playing commentary and crowd sounds, while the loading and saving system received adjustments. FIFA 15 also gained commentary audio and a fix for crowd graphics.
On the other hand, Mortal Kombat received a fix for broken colors in the videos. Ridge Racer had its reflexes adjusted and Need for Speed received fixes for anisotropic filtering and collision sounds.
Ragnarok Odyssey ACE and several games render correctly again
On Android, one of the changes highlighted by the project involves Ragnarok Odyssey ACE. The developer claims that the graphics now work correctly on this platform. This fix is especially relevant because version 1.1 had already received gameplay changes, but v1.2 brings a new adjustment targeted at Android.
Dragon Quest Heroes II also received an important fix. According to the changelog, the game should no longer crash during gameplay. Meanwhile, Demon Gaze now manages to reach the actual game.
In addition, Ys: Memories of Celceta received a fix for an issue that prevented loading on Android. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, in turn, had a regression fixed.

Jet Set Radio, Golden Time and other games receive fixes
The update also tweaks games that had issues right upon startup. Jet Set Radio now manages to boot up and has had its graphics fixed, according to the official notes. Golden Time also now boots and runs correctly in the scenario tested by the developer.
In Skullgirls 2nd Encore, version 1.2 fixes character and stage graphics. Meanwhile, Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 received a more extensive graphical patch.
Gundam Breaker 3 received adjustments for minor errors in the mecha designs. Meanwhile, Epic Mickey 2 received a fix for incorrect white areas in the image.
The changelog also mentions Super Hero Nation, which received adjustments to the clouds, and Shin Gundam Musou, which had missing effects and lasers fixed. In the latter case, the developer also worked on voice and dialogue audio.
Injustice, Uncharted, MotoGP 14 and Silent Hill also appear on the list
In Injustice: Gods Among Us, projectiles that didn't appear before should now be rendered. Meanwhile Uncharted received a fix for camera captured images that appeared green.
MotoGP 14 had an issue that could make the bike completely black. v1.2 includes a specific fix for this behavior.
Finally, the changelog mentions a graphical fix for Silent Hill. In this case, however, the developer itself advises setting up File Loading Delay in 3 ms. Therefore, this result also depends on this specific configuration.

Vita3K+ 1.2 improves the graphics pipeline on Mali GPUs
In addition to per-game fixes, version 1.2 includes three more general changes to the graphics pipeline. The first tackles a vertex issue on Mali GPUs. The bug could cause certain shapes to appear incorrectly stretched.
The second change involves the Double Buffer. According to the maintainer, Mali devices often end up using this mode as a fallback even when the user selects other memory mapping methods. Therefore, the project worked directly on this path to improve behavior on these GPUs.
. However, this does not mean that Vita3K+ 1.2 has eliminated the limitations of Mali GPUs. Current documentation still warns that certain features may continue not to work on this hardware. Thus, results depend on the GPU model, the game, the driver, and the settings used.
At the same time, users of Adreno 6xx with Turnip drivers also received a fix. The update removes a black checkered pattern that could appear in certain games.
Adreno and Turnip remain the recommended combination
The Vita3K+ maintainer continues to recommend Snapdragon with Adreno GPU and Turnip drivers for the best compatibility on Android. Therefore, the additional attention to Mali GPUs in this version does not completely shift the fork's focus.
The documentation also recommends enabling Accurate Thread Scheduling when a game experiences freezes or crashes. This option is now used by default and may be required in titles such as Dead or Alive 5 Plus and Samurai Warriors 3.
This also shows why performance comparisons need to report hardware and settings. Two phones can run the same version of Vita3K+ and show very different results due to the GPU, the Vulkan driver, memory mapping, and the game itself.
Vita3K+ does not automatically replace the original Vita3K
Vita3K+ remains an experimental fork. The repository itself makes it clear that the emulator's main work belongs to the Vita3K team and that Plus adds its own changes aimed primarily at compatibility and rendering.
Therefore, there is no guarantee that all games will work better on the fork. A fix targeted at a specific title might not affect another game and, in some cases, experimental changes can also introduce regressions.
This approach resembles other emulation projects on Android that maintain specific modifications over an existing base. Recently, the ARMSX3 1.0.5 brought Demon’s Souls online to Android, while Omnidroid 2.4.1-beta added Wii U and migrated its PS2 emulation to ARMSX2.
In the case of Vita3K+, however, the main highlight of v1.2 lies in the amount of targeted fixes. Instead of promising just more performance, the project documents which games and which flaws received attention.
How to download Vita3K+ 1.2
The project keeps its downloads and code on GitHub. To avoid modified APKs or older versions distributed by third parties, the safest option is to check directly the official Vita3K+ releases page.
In addition, the official Vita3K+ repository maintains the updated list of fixes, recommendations for Android and notes on Adreno and Mali GPUs.
Vita3K+ does not come with commercial PlayStation Vita games. To perform emulation tests, use your own legally obtained games and files.
