Attack on Elden Ring brings Attack on Titan grappling hooks to Elden Ring on PC

The project Attack on Elden Ring released experimental code on October 7, 2026 to combine the grappling hook movements from Attack on Titan Tribute Game 2 (AoTTG2) with the world of Elden Ring on PC. It is a passthrough mod in development, not a new mode officially available in either game.

According to mpere056's repository, the solution keeps AoTTG2 and Elden Ring running at the same time. The first calculates movement and ODM gear physics; the second provides the scenery, enemies, and character representation. There are still severe limitations and no confirmed public installable release.

, how Attack on Elden Ring uses Attack on Titan's hooks

To achieve this, the project employs a BepInEx plugin on the AoTTG2 side and a bridge in Elden Ring. Through shared memory, the processes transfer positions, control inputs, and geometry queries.

, the system attempts to let the character move using cables and propulsion inspired by Attack on Titan while the world presented is that of Elden Ring. The code also seeks to mirror parts of the terrain into colliders that the other engine recognizes.

, in turn, in the mode called Tarnished mode, as described by the author, the user remains within the Elden Ring window. In addition, the camera follows the direction of the AoTTG2 controls, and aiming and cable elements are presented as an overlay.

Documented tests and limitations of Attack on Elden Ring

The status log reports local tests of movement, collision reading, position transfer, and control handover between the games. These results are developer records, not independent tests performed by Allves Games.

Furthermore, the author describes problematic collisions on slopes and terrain sections, as well as successive adjustments in command transfer. Therefore, operation across different scenarios and equipment has not yet been broadly demonstrated.

For now, among the current limitations, blade strikes on Elden Ring enemies are not yet implemented as functional damage. In addition, the soldier visual composition mode is disabled following reports of NVIDIA driver reboots. The Tarnished mode remains the option described in the documentation.

There is no ready installer or verified public demonstration

For technical testing, the project cites use on Windows and requires properly and legally acquired installations of Elden Ring and AoTTG2 in compatible versions. However, obtaining the repository does not mean receiving a ready-to-play game: the user would need to compile and configure experimental components on their own.

So far, no installable binary package has been confirmed in public releases. Therefore, we did not add a download button. We also found no verifiable video of the mod itself; ordinary gameplay footage of Elden Ring or AoTTG2 does not prove this integration.

A new experiment between two games

Finally, the proposal is similar to other passthrough experiences already covered on the site, such as EldenCraft, which integrates Minecraft with Elden Ring, and the CallOfWarcraft, between Modern Warfare 2 and World of Warcraft.

However, Attack on Elden Ring is still a development preview, with no confirmed replicable public test or guaranteed compatibility. The verifiable news is the evolution of the creator's own code and reports.
