The activity of ARMSX3 in the background received adjustments in version 1.1.1, published on October 11, 2026, to reduce unnecessary checks on Android. According to official notes, the update decreases repeated checks when a game is paused or the screen is locked. However, the released numbers do not correspond to additional battery hours measured in real-world use.

ARMSX3 in the background: fewer checks

For example, in a test with Odin 3, the team reports that the check activity dropped from approximately 2,000 to 63 cycles per second with the game paused and the screen locked. However, this data measures polling frequency, not FPS or battery life in hours. Therefore, the impact on the battery may vary depending on the device and the game.

Furthermore, the game library stops rendering elements out of view; while the application turns off motion sensors during pause and reduces the frequency of Discord queries from twenty to one per second. Finally, the GDB server previously open on Android has also been disabled.

ARMSX3 in the background and previous fixes

In turn, the version 1.1, released on October 10, also brought relevant changes that precede 1.1.1. According to the developers, Splatterhouse stops closing a few seconds after entering a level. Already LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1–4 has been modified to free up graphics memory before large loads.

In turn, other corrections incorporated from the RPCS3 project address the blue squares in Armored Core: Verdict Day and problematic reflections in a mirror in Gran Turismo 6 up to version 1.05. However, this does not prove that all these games are fully compatible on every mobile phone.
