The ARMSX3 for Android received version 1.0.7 on October 7, 2026 with fixes for Gran Turismo 5, Resistance 2, and other PlayStation 3 games on Android. In addition, the update accelerates a graphics buffer preparation step by up to ten times on ARM processors. The number, however, does not represent a ten-fold gain in the games' FPS rate.
The emulator adapts the RPCS3 base for ARM64 Android devices. Thus, part of this version's fixes came directly from the RPCS3 project, while other changes deal with ARMSX3's own optimizations and integration. The results continue to depend on the device, drivers, and each game.

ARMSX3 for Android reduces buffer time by up to 10x
According to the official changelog, a new NEON routine accelerates the preparation and submission of index buffers on the ARM architecture. In specific cases, the time spent on this task can drop by up to ten times. Therefore, the improvement reduces an internal bottleneck and can benefit games like Demon's Souls, but it does not mean multiplying the total FPS by ten.
In turn, the developer attributes this contribution to Whatcookie. Furthermore, other improvements to vertex program processing arrived from the RPCS3 base. Since the impact depends on the graphical load, the team did not provide a universal percentage increase in frames per second.
Gran Turismo 5 fixes shadows and windshields
In Gran Turismo 5, the update fixes car shadows, disappearing windshields, and windows that flashed white. At the same time, Indy and NASCAR events with MSAA enabled are now rendered correctly, according to the official notes. Additionally, ARMSX3 has incorporated these changes from the RPCS3 upstream work.
On the other hand, the visual fix does not prove that Gran Turismo 5 has reached a playable framerate on all mobile phones. Thus, the announcement speaks of specific graphical issues, rather than a general performance or compatibility test for the campaign.

Resistance 2 and Ratchet & Clank receive crash fixes
A change in RSX command synchronization fixes random freezes in Resistance 2 and games from the Ratchet & Clank series. In addition, the team mentions glitches in an aquatic stage of LittleBigPlanet, in the menu of Ridge Racer Unbounded, and upon startup of two Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows titles.
ARMSX3 also incorporated this RPCS3 fix. Meanwhile, Blades of Time no longer crashes on every startup after the first one, according to the specific Android port changelog.
Audio, videos, and RPCN multiplayer also improve
Other fixes affect video decoding, music playback, and RPCN multiplayer. For instance, 44.1 kHz audio tracks could lose their final seconds; the new base fixes this behavior. Meanwhile, the P2P connection received adjustments to prevent it from hanging permanently after certain packet losses.
Additionally, the version fixes issues with color masks, occlusion queries, and some graphical operations. Flower also now renders all vegetation in a situation that previously repeated part of the vertices. These are technical rendering fixes, not a list of games now considered fully playable.

How to get ARMSX3 for Android version 1.0.7
The official version 1.0.7 page on GitHub gathers the packages that the developer made available. Before installing, check the appropriate variant for the architecture and Android version. At the time of publishing the notes, the submission to the Play Store was still under review.
Before running games, the user also needs the official PlayStation 3 firmware and files obtained from their own legally acquired copy. Furthermore, the project remains experimental; therefore, individual fixes do not guarantee that all titles will run correctly.
Allves Games has already explained the new features of the ARMSX3 1.0.6.1, including CHD and Frame Generation. Another previous coverage shows Demon's Souls online on ARMSX3 1.0.5. Thus, update 1.0.7 should be understood as a new set of fixes, not as the first release of the emulator.
