Scooby-Doo Re-Masked, native port of Scooby-Doo! Unmasked from GameCube to PC, received version 1.0.1 on October 18, 2026. The project uses static recompilation and aims to run the game on Windows without relying on a traditional emulator. The update fixes missing environments, problematic cutscenes, and incorrectly displayed controls, according to the developer.

Initially, the project emerged publicly on October 17 and received a relevant update the following day. For now, its repository and the official package are available, but the tests reported by the author do not equate to an independent evaluation of all stages.

What changes in Scooby-Doo Re-Masked 1.0.1

According to the version 1.0.1 release notes, the author fixed the missing parts of the aquarium scenery, including the floor, objects, and submarine. In addition, the update aims to prevent characters from clipping through walls in Chinatown.

Furthermore, the changelog mentions slowly played audio lines and cutscenes that resulted in a black screen. Thus, the introduction and demo videos underwent adjustments for higher resolutions, while the aerial stage flyovers stopped alternating between dark and bright frames, according to the project's report.

Similarly, another change involves on-screen prompts: the port now displays specific button indicators for Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo controllers. In addition, Scooby-Doo's portrait in the HUD and pause menu received sharpness adjustments.

GameCube to Windows port offers widescreen

The official repository describes Scooby-Doo Re-Masked as a static recompilation of the American GameCube edition. It offers 16:9, Fill, and 2.39:1 aspect ratios, along with resolution options up to 4K. According to the developer, widescreen reveals a larger area of the scene rather than simply stretching the 4:3 image.

In turn, the project cites presentation of 120 or 180 frames per second through interpolation. However, this does not mean that the game's original simulation runs at 180 FPS: the logic remains limited to the frequency indicated by the author. Therefore, there is no independent benchmark confirming uniform performance on any computer.

The project is part of a wave of native ports of older games. At Allves Games, we have already shown another GameCube case, the port of Super Mario Sunshine for PC. Each initiative has its own code, requirements, and limitations; one does not prove the functioning of the other.

How to download updated Scooby-Doo Re-Masked

The developer made the public file available ScoobyDooReMasked.zip in release 1.0.1, weighing approximately 145 MB. The package is intended for Windows x64. The commercial game is not included with the download: it is necessary to use the files from your own copy of the American GameCube edition, identified as G5DE78.

  1. Download the updated official package using the button below. The address points to the project's most recent stable release file.
  1. Extract the ZIP into a Windows folder and consult the version instructions in the repository.
  2. Prepare the data from your own American copy of Scooby-Doo! Unmasked, as per the author's guide. The port does not provide the game or an ISO.
  3. Start the program following the README and adjust resolution, aspect ratio, and controls. To update a previous installation, the developer advises extracting the new files over the old folder, preserving saves and settings.

Public files confirm the distribution of the package, but this investigation did not execute the ZIP nor validate installation on different computers. The project should also not be confused with Scooby-Doo! Night of 100 Frights, which has another independent port.

Fixes still need extensive testing

Thus, update 1.0.1 represents a concrete advance in development, especially due to the fixes for scenarios and cutscenes. However, the changelog reflects results reported by the creator. For now, this investigation has not identified a complete independent test of the campaign, the cutscenes, and the functioning of all controls.

Finally, the project requires game files legally obtained by the user themselves. It is not an official version published by the holders of Scooby-Doo! Unmasked and may present issues during development.
