The Verdite1 King's Field received public version 0.1.0 on November 5, 2026, with installation packages for Windows, Linux, and Android. In this context, Voicedrew11's indie project adapts the King's Field original Japanese PlayStation game for modern systems. In addition to solo gameplay, its documentation describes testing of online features, but the network is still part of experimental development.
Which King's Field receives the Verdite1 port?
The game is the Japanese edition of King's Field identified by the code SLPS-00017. For example, the documentation warns that it is not the King's Field released in the United States, which corresponds to another title in the series and is handled by the Verdite2 project. Therefore, do not attempt to use files from any edition without checking the code.

Additionally, the port was built upon a community decompilation and the King's Field Enhanced project. In turn, the documentation describes features such as widescreen, 60 FPS or higher in compatible situations, perspective corrections, filters, and keyboard and mouse support. However, these features are developer statements, not independent performance tests.

Online co-op and limitations
Furthermore, Verdite1's technical documents describe multiplayer rooms, cooperation, messaging, and other network elements. However, NETWORKING_PLAN itself classifies this work as evolving, with protocols and testing still subject to change.

According to the technical log of November 3rd, the Android APK already joins online rooms, but does not host matches. Therefore, treat co-op as experimental and confirm cross-version compatibility before planning a session. So far, there are no independent tests of Allves Games proving full match stability across all platforms.
How to install Verdite1 on PC and Android
First of all, you need the files from your own legitimate copy of the Japanese King's Field, accepted in .cue/.bin, .iso or .chd formats. However, the official Verdite1 packages do not include game data.
- Choose the installer corresponding to your system in the v0.1.0 release.
- On Windows, run the file Verdite1-0.1.0-win-x64-setup.exe. On Linux, enable execution of the AppImage; on Android, install the arm64 APK on Android 10 or higher.
- On the first run, indicate your own game file when prompted.
- Choose the language and available controls, check the port warnings and start the game.
Thus, the buttons lead to the three public packages identified in the author's release 0.1.0; none of them include the game's disc image. Even so, Allves Games verified asset names, sizes, and URLs, but did not run the installers.
King's Field on PC already has other projects
On the other hand, Verdite1 should not be confused with Verdite3, which focuses on another episode. Our previous coverage of King's Field II with Verdite3 on PC and Linux explains this independent initiative.
As this port is still in development, features may change rapidly. Therefore, check the author's documentation before concluding that a new feature is already working stably.
