The Sakura Wars PS4RT for Windows received the version 1.1.4 on November 4, 2026. According to the project DiamondDogz release notes, the launcher now allows choosing four languages for game texts and trophy cards: English, French, German, and Spanish. However, the voices remain in Japanese.
The adjustment is specific to the startup interface and language features. Therefore, the new version does not represent an unprecedented recompilation, game engine alteration, or new dubbing. According to the developer, the executable and runtime remain the same as in the 1.1.3 edition.
Sakura Wars PS4RT 1.1.4: what changed?
The update by Sakura Wars PS4RT adds language selection in four Western options for compatible textual elements. In addition, the developer mentions changes to local trophy names and cards, allowing the interface to maintain greater consistency with the chosen language.
However, the choice does not translate the spoken performance of the characters. The audio remains in Japanese, and the project does not announce support for Japanese, Korean, or Chinese in this new interface selection. Therefore, users must distinguish the text language from the voice language before installing.

How does the Sakura Wars port work on PC?
The community port is a Windows adaptation of the runtime developed by HekamiAeon. It executes native PS4 game code with custom implementations of the necessary services on the PC. This is not a generic emulator capable of running any PlayStation 4 game.
The Windows version launcher is maintained by DiamondDogz, while the original runtime belongs to HekamiAeon's project. Therefore, it is important to credit both works and not attribute functions that already existed in the previous base to the fork.
The program does not provide Sakura Wars files nor is it endorsed by SEGA. It is necessary to use a legitimate copy dumped by the player themselves, identified as CUSA16429 and updated to version 01.01, according to the documentation. In addition, experimental use may present incompatibilities and crashes.
How to download Sakura Wars PS4RT on Windows
- Access official page of the windows-1.1.4 release on GitHub.
- In the release files section, select the Windows ZIP package provided by the developer. Check the version before extracting.
- Extract the ZIP file to a folder where you have read and write permission.
- Run Kagekidan.exe and point to your own extracted game folder containing the original files from the compatible edition.
- If necessary, apply your own 01.01 update through the official launcher flow. After that, select the desired language and start the game.
Windows may display a reputation warning for unsigned community programs. In that case, verify the origin of the files and do not disable security protections to proceed. The Allves Games checked the project's public records, but did not test the release on a PC.
Requirements and limitations
The project documentation describes support for 64-bit Windows 10 and 11 and recommends graphics drivers with Vulkan. The author presents tests on specific hardware; this does not represent a compatibility guarantee with any computer. Additionally, the game requires the extracted data from your legitimate PlayStation 4 copy.
The file distributed by the fork is not a commercial version of Sakura Wars and does not include PKG, firmware, or other protected files. Therefore, there is no button to download the full game or its disk image.
