The Toy Story 2 PS1 received a new PC port in the version 0.2.0, published in October 17, 2026. The indie project ToyStory2Recomp, by PeriBluGaming, offers compiled packages for Windows, Linux, and macOS. However, the existence of the files does not equate to independent validation of the entire campaign.
Toy Story 2 PS1 arrives on three systems
The project uses the public code of ToyStory2Recomp and the psxrecomp tool to rebuild the PlayStation game as an executable program. The release 0.2.0 includes four packages: Windows x64, Linux x64, macOS x64 (Intel) and macOS ARM64 (Apple Silicon).
In addition, the version history records the update of psxrecomp by the author himself. The release page does not, in itself, provide an independent FPS measurement nor prove that all levels work without issues. Consequently, current data does not allow promising 60 FPS or full compatibility with any computer.

The base game is Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue!, American PlayStation edition identified as SLUS-00893. Therefore, the project should not be confused with the SpaceRanger, another Toy Story 2 port based on the Nintendo 64, already covered by Allves Games. Therefore, the two initiatives use different technical bases and requirements.
Toy Story 2 PS1 and the old PC edition
Toy Story 2 also had an official Windows edition. However, this project reconstructs the PlayStation version and requires the data from the aforementioned PS1 disc. The novelty is the availability of current builds for Windows, Linux, and macOS. Therefore, this is not an update to the old PC executable, nor is there an independent comparison that allows claiming one edition runs better than the other.
How to download decompiled Toy Story 2 PS1
The developer provides compiled executables, but does not distribute the commercial game image. Therefore, the reader needs to own an original copy and prepare the corresponding files according to the project instructions. The repository states that releases use OpenBIOS included in the package, without redistributing commercial BIOS.

What still needs to be confirmed
Despite the public packages for the three systems, this verification only consulted the release metadata and the author's documentation. The Allves Games team did not download or execute the binaries and also did not test the entire campaign, controls, or performance.
Furthermore, the official sources consulted did not feature a video by the author demonstrating the full experience of version 0.2.0. Therefore, readers should consider performance reports preliminary until an independent demonstration or test appears.
