Although Valve is currently better known for its digital storefront or hardware, the company is apparently returning to game development in style. In fact, Valve is apparently working on several new titles at the moment and the company believes they are all very exciting. The company behind Steam apparently has several plans beyond launching its own handheld console, the Steam Deck. To some extent, the company has already returned to game development with the release of Aperture Desk Job, a spinoff of its popular Portal franchise, which was made to help people understand how to use their Steam Decks. Although this was a smaller game aimed at the handheld, the company also has some other titles in the works. In an interview, Valve designer, Greg Coomer, confirmed that, although the company does not have a major release to accompany the Steam Deck, as some people thought, plans are moving forward for several titles. Specifically, Coomer said that there are "now several games in development at Valve". Não entre em pânico, a Valve já resolveu os supostos problemas de 'drift' no Steam Deck Coomer added that he thinks all the titles the company is working on will be "very exciting". However, he did not add any history or real detail about what these upcoming Valve games could be and whether any of them could be a continuation of beloved franchises like Portal. There have long been people who hoped that a Portal 3, Left 4 Dead 3 or another Half Life ended up being made. These desires remain strong, despite the fact that it has been quite a long time since the last installment of any of these franchises was released. For the most part, the company behind Steam has been quite cautious about the idea that these games are actually a possibility. This has not changed, but players can "console" themselves with comments about several titles in development. As it is still early, Coomer also did not make any kind of comment about when people could expect official announcements regarding these games "exciting" and there is certainly no information on when they will be released. What seems clear is that, with the success of the Steam Deck, Valve will not rest and rely on old games to increase its user count, but is returning with full force to create new games, whether they are based on old IPs or new titles.
