In
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, the player commands a tactical action and guerrilla group. In 2008, a group of rebels in the far west of Russia managed to raise enough money to buy many weapons, and also gathered many soldiers. As they were conquering territory in Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Georgia, and Belarus, the UN created an alliance between the US, Russia, and Germany to contain this threat. And the player was tasked with handling the tactical and practical part of this group, which due to its infiltration purpose was nicknamed "Ghost Recon". The player must then complete 15 missions against these terrorists in various locations, such as the Georgian capital of Tbilisi, and the secret bay of Murmansk.
