Games like
Horizon: Zero Dawn,
Days Gone,
The Last of Us: Part II and
Ghost of Tsushima show that
PlayStation Studios has been focusing on adventures that require dozens of hours to complete. And it seems that the sequel to
God of War intends to follow this trend.
David Scott Jaffe, the creator of the first two
God of War of the era
PS2 - and now a streamer - posted a
video on his YouTube channel saying that some of his friends from
Sony stated that
Santa Monica Studio wants
God of War: Ragnarök be around 40 hours.

David Jaffe does not know for sure whether the 40 hours is the average time to complete the campaign, or to get the platinum, however, it may be much longer than the 2018 title.
Warning: even though the rumor comes from a reliable source, wait for official confirmations
God of War: Ragnarok (working title) is probably one of the games that has made fans the most anxious. And although many believe that the game will be released in 2022, it is impossible to be sure of that. However, that does not mean we will have to wait long to see something about the game. If the rumors are right, it is expected that we will see something in the next
PlayStation Showcase 2021, taking place at 5 PM on September 9th.
