The
Epic Games launched on September 7th, for players in the US and Canada, a new payment option during checkout.
The wallet from
Epic Games offers an option for players to add money directly to their accounts in
Epic, allowing fast and easy payments through the launcher or web store when logged in. Players will have the option to add funds to the wallet in pre-defined amounts (equivalent to $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100).
The wallet balance can be used to purchase most products and services available in the store. In addition to purchases, players can also request refunds directly to their wallet, even if the original payment was not made through this method. Wallet balance and details can be viewed at any time through the
account management settings of the player.
If the wallet does not have enough money for a purchase, players can use a second payment method to cover the additional amount, without needing to top up the wallet balance.
The Allves Games wallet
Epic Games will have a maximum balance of $500 USD ($600 CAD) if the account has two-factor authentication enabled. Accounts without 2FA enabled will be limited to $150 USD ($200 CAD). Players can learn how to enable 2FA for their Epic Games account
here.
There are no set dates for expanding the feature to other countries. At the moment, Allves Games
Epic Games is monitoring performance and recording player feedback to help improve the system over time.
