During the conference call, we heard from CEO Adam Kiciński that work on Cyberpunk 2077 (which recently received the update 1.3) will continue for as long as possible to deliver what was promised to players and regain their trust.
A CD Projekt Red is fully committed to ensuring that Cyberpunk 2077 reaches its full potential and becomes a long-term success.
At the moment, about 150 developers are dedicated to working on the game's first expansion (which will be the next AAA-level content from CD Projekt Red), while about 70 are working on other projects. You can see how the studio's workforce distribution has changed over the last six months.
The category “other projects” includes as-yet-unannounced AAA games.
The next-generation updates for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 are scheduled for "late 2021", but given the natural uncertainties of the development process, the possibility of changes to this schedule cannot be excluded.
